Fees and Funding

How much does it cost?

How much does gaining HLTA status cost?

HLTA Community SW is a Provider of Preparation (PoP) which offers HLTA preparation across the SW Region. Our Regional Provider of Assessment (RPA) is Best Practice Network (BPN). There is no longer any government funding available for these activities. The school will be invoiced for the cost of preparation after the candidate has started on the three day preparation. This amounts to £325. Their name will be forwarded to BPN who will then invoice the school separately to cover their charges, £450.

When their invoice has been paid they will release the candidate’s name and school details for an assessor to be able to arrange a half day visit to the school. It is important therefore that both the invoices are paid promptly. HLTA Community SW will not invoice candidates directly and the candidate’s school will need to pay the invoice in full regardless of how the cost of their TA’s training will be met. All our venues in the pre-planned programme for the academic year are pleasant, fully equipped locations for training; lunch is provided.

Gaining HLTA status has completely transformed my life in school, giving me a much more varied and responsible role. At times, that’s been very challenging, but ultimately extremely rewarding.
